Led grow lights
Led grow lights are the future. Led technology has developed at such a rapid pace over the past years that the results, quantity as well as quality wise, can often match those achieved with HPS indoor plant lights. Fringe benefit is that taste and vitamin levels are higher with plants grown under LED.
Recently there has been a shift towards full spectrum led lights. It’s becoming clear that plants thrive better on a more complete light spectrum.
Traditional led lights tend to focus more on red and blue light. These colours are primarily responsible for the growth and flowering of plants.
It turns out the plants also require other colours from the full spectrum that contribute to a better end product. That’s why in the last few years more LEDs are produced with a fuller light spectrum imitating the broader light spectrum of the sun. As a result led grow lights with seperate settings for vegging and flowering are losing market share.
In order to get the most out of your led’s you want the light to be spread over the grow surface as evenly as possible. The best light spread is obtained when using light bars. The bars are mounted on a frame which is about the same size as the grow surface. Now more or less the same light output values are achieved in every corner of the grow surface. Because there’s no “hot spot” directly underneath the lamp the bars can hung very close above the canopy with minimum transport loss as a consequence. Another great advantage of the G-bars is that they can be switched ON and OFF seperately. This allows you to use less bars in the beginning of the cycle and more light when the plants grow bigger and need more light.
The G-bars are mounted on frames we make ourselves. So with the bars we can construct the perfect grow light for any size grow surface.
