Why do I need an extractor fan?
Controle over temperature and an even supply of CO2 rich air is the key to a healthy harvest.
Temperature and humidity levels inside your growbox can raise to very high levels because of the use of grow-lights. An extractor fan inside your grow box is therefore needed to extract the warm air and draw in cool, fresh air.
What does a good fan need?
We offer fans with different functions such as manual speed setting or temperature controlled speed setting. But most importantly it meets the following requirements. The air has to be drawn through a carbon filter and duct. A powerful motor is therefore needed. To much pressure would get lost if the fan’s motor is not strong enough.
Most of the extractors we sell have impellers with backward curved blades. This intelligent feature creates extra pressure build-up without requiring extra energy. The aerodynamically optimized shape of the housing minimalises the resistance to the air flow. As a result the fans are extremely silent.
Last but not least it has to be sustainable because the last thing you want is your extractor to stop running when you’re in the middle of a grow cycle.
We use motors of Europe’s best manufacturers like the Germann EBM Pabst and Swiss MES.
