After testing many different brands of harvesting scissors we came across the Solinger perfection scissors. High-quality materials used and sharp long-lasting blades provide the best trimming experience. After-harvest equipment is just as important as your growing equipment. These scissors will work perfectly for growers using our Bonanza grow cabinet or for those doing their harvesting in a larger Urban farming container.
Trimming your plants before drying is known as a “wet trim” because the leaves are still wet during the trimming process. Trimming after the flowers have already dried is known as a “dry trim” since your flowers will already be dried before you trim off the smaller leaves. For both of these techniques, you will need a good-quality pair of scissors.
Once you have decided on the technique you will use its best to keep in mind that trimming can take a lot longer than it might seem at first, and it’s a good idea to dedicate at least an afternoon to trimming.
Drying the harvest is an often underestimated process. During the drying of the harvest, all kinds of elements are converted into sugars in the plant, which largely determine the smell and taste of the end product.
A good drying net and a well-ventilated, dark drying room are indispensable. Your Bonanza grow box with its ventilation and air filter system is the perfect solution for this.
