Automatic irrigation
An automatic irrigation system has many advantages. It gives you the freedom to be away from home and will lead to increased yields. Your plants will never dry out and will always get there daily water needs.
Ebb & flow
This automatic irrigation kit consists of all parts to automatically supply the plants on the ebb & flood tray with water and nutrition. The kit is suitable for use with a 0,52 x 0,52 meter ebb & flood tray with table.
The 16-litre water tank can be placed under the table. In it you make the water with the desired amount of nutrients. A GT 800 pump pumps the nutrient solution to the plants at set times. This can be done in two different ways. According to the ebb & flow method, where the tray is filled with a layer of water at set times. During these ‘flood periods’, the plants can absorb the water through holes in the bottom of the pots. When the pump is switched off, the water with the nutrients flows from the ebb & flood tray back to the water tank under the table (ebb). With the tap on the supply line, the speed at which the water is pumped into the ebb & flood tray can be further adjusted. With the tap on the outlet, you can adjust how fast the water from the ebb & flood tray flows back to the water tank and how long the plants have time to absorb the water. This method works very well when you grow many plants in small pots.
Drip irrigation
The system can also be used as a drip irrigation system. Here, the supplied drippers are clicked onto the supply line.
At least one dripper is inserted into each pot. When the pump is switched on by a timer, water with nutrition is pumped to each plant individually via the drippers.
As the pump is only switched on for 1 or more minutes a few times a day, it is best to use a digital timer (not supplied) for this purpose.
The drip irrigation method works well when growing larger plants in pots with soil or other substrate.
